pūrṇamadaḥ, pūrṇamidam

ॐ पूर्णमदः पूर्णमिदम् पूर्णात् पूर्णमुदच्यते |
पूर्णस्य पूर्णमादाय पूर्णमेवावशिष्यते ||

oṃ pūrṇamadaḥ pūrṇamidam pūrṇāt pūrṇam-udacyate |
pūrṇasya pūrṇa-mādāya pūrṇamevā-vaśiṣyate ||

That is infinite, and this is infinite.
The infinite proceeds from the infinite.
taking the infinitude from the infinite,
the infinite alone remains.

There is fullness, here is fullness.
From fullness, fullness is born.
Remove the fullness from fullness,
fullness alone remains.

Whole is That and whole is this.
Whole is the sum when two wholes combine.
Whole too is what remains
When whole from whole has been removed.
